The five-years timeframe, combined with generous funding provisions, will enable me to build a strong research programme at an early career stage - A current EPSRC Early career fellow.
Holding a Glasstone Fellowship in Chemistry was a fantastic opportunity. It allowed me to develop my own independent research area, which led to a permanent Lectureship at Birmingham University. During my fellowship, I was able to supervise students, apply for grants and gain experience of teaching and faculty business. It also opened the door to an extraordinary Junior Research Fellowship at The Queen's College, so that I could enjoy a fuller Oxford experience and engage with academics from a wide range of disciplines - Hamish Yeung.
